As a coach at the modified and JV levels, I enjoy working with athletes and teaching them the fundamental skills needed to succeed in their sport. In addition, coaches within school districts need to get active and involved in their district's youth programs where they coach. This is so important because younger athletes look up to both coaches and players on your team. Therefore, it is essential to attend youth practices and games because, in reality, these are your future athletes, and you need strong feeder programs to achieve success within your program. Therefore, as a coach, you must show up and help with a few practices to build a strong program and teach athletes the proper way to perform fundamental skills.
