Softball Drill

One of my favorite softball drills is called the towel-throwing drill. All you need for this drill is a dish towel. At the end of the dish towel, tape it to simulate the ball, or buy towels with the ball attached. This helps correct softball players' overhand throws and allows athletes to hear the snap and swoosh of the towel as it flies out in front of them. In addition, the athlete should follow through throughout their body and extend their arm towards their target. I have done this drill where one athlete holds their hand out, and the other partner works on extending and hitting their partner's hand. The athletes usually enjoy doing this and find it fun, which is also beneficial.
